1. What Paracetamol and Ibuprofen Tablets is and what it is used for?

Paracetamol is a pain reliever (analgesic) and helps to reduce your temperature when you have a fever.

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs work by reducing pain, reducing swelling and lowering high temperatures. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen Tablets are used for the temporary relief of mild to moderate pain associated with migraine, headache, backache, period pain, dental pain, rheumatic and muscular pain, pain of non-serious arthritis, cold and flu symptoms, sore throat and fever.

2. What you need to know before you take Paracetamol and Ibuprofen Tablets?

Do not take Paracetamol and Ibuprofen Tablets:

Are already taking any other paracetamol containing product.

Are taking any other pain relieving products including ibuprofen, high dose aspirin Suffer from heart, liver or kidney failure Have asthma or have suffered from asthma Have kidney, heart, and liver or bowel problems.

Do not take Paracetamol and Ibuprofen Tablets with:

Other paracetamol containing products

Other NSAID containing products such as aspirin, ibuprofen.

Special care is required as some medicines may interact with Ibuprofen Paracetamol 200mg/500mg tablets, for example:

Corticosteroid tablets

Antibiotics (e.g. Chloramphenicol or Quinoline)

Anti sickness medicines (e.g. metoclopramide, domperidone)

Medicines to thin the blood or prevent clotting (e.g. warfarin).

3. How to take Paracetamol and Ibuprofen Tablets?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet as your doctor or pharmacists have told you to. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

If you have a high fever, or if symptoms get worse or persist for longer than 3 days, consult your doctor.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

This medicinal product can cause the following side effects:

- Breathing problems: These are more likely if you have asthma or have experienced them before when taking other painkillers such as ibuprofen and aspirin.

- Unexplained bruising and bleeding

- Nausea, sudden weight loss, loss of appetite and yellowing of the eyes and skin.

- Tremor, difficulty sleeping, dizziness, nervousness,

- restlessness, Immlaoty, anxiety

- Headache, Fast or irregular heartbeat, rapid breathing

- Stomach upset.

- Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):

- Edema (abnormal accumulation of fluid under the skin), abnormal vision, simple skin rash or urticaria.

- Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):

- Other allergic reactions (skin rash), hepatotoxicity (damage caused to the liver, thrombocytopenia

- (reduction in blood platelets, which increases the risk of bleeding or bruising), leucopenia.

5. How to store Paracetamol and Ibuprofen Tablets?

Store in a dry place, below 30°C.

Keep medicine out of reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the packs. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
